Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 August 2026
1. Using SavrIT
SavrIT is a shopping list and grocery price-comparison app for South African households. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
2. Free trial and subscriptions
- New accounts get a 14-day free trial with full access.
- After the trial, continued use requires an active subscription, managed on the web — never inside the app itself.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Payments are processed by Paystack. We do not store your card details.
3. Pricing data accuracy
We work hard to keep prices accurate — every batch is checked by a person before publishing (see our Data Transparency page). That said, prices are collected from published catalogues on a weekly cycle and can occasionally be out of date, misread, or changed by a retailer in-store. Always confirm the price at checkout — SavrIT is a planning tool, not a price guarantee.
4. Acceptable use
- Don't attempt to scrape, resell, or redistribute SavrIT's pricing data.
- Don't attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Keep your account credentials to yourself.
5. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can stop using SavrIT and request account deletion at any time — see our POPIA page.
6. Liability
SavrIT is provided "as is." We aren't liable for losses arising from pricing errors, service interruptions, or decisions made based on the app's output, to the fullest extent permitted by South African law.
7. Changes to these terms
We'll update this page if these terms change, and update the date at the top.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
